Postcard Quilts

We have gotten a bunch of these cute little postcard patterns in the shop.  They only cost $2.00 each and are so quick to make.  Here's one that we whipped up with primary colors.  It measures 32 x 42.  What an awesome baby quilt!  We have a few kits left as shown that include all the fabric for the top, binding and pattern for less than $20!!

We had one lady buy fabric to make it as a table topper.  Great idea!  I'm also thinking if you wanted to do a bed size quilt, you could make four stars, put them together and add a couple of borders.  The possibilities are endless.

Stop in and check out these great postcard quilts!

To the right is the mommy version of the above quilt.  It is called Stars and Stripes.  It measures approximately 54 x 69.  It is made from Minick and Simpson fabric (one of our favorites).  It takes 8 fatt quarters for the star and additional fabric for background and borders. Again, this is one of those quilts you can easily make in a day.  Pam and I both made this quilt.  Pam's had a darker background (almost a carmel color) which turned out absolutely gorgeous.  I used the lighter off white color. I believe there may be one kit left at work that looks like this quilt.  Lots of people chose the kit that had Pam's darker background!  She said since she has dogs, darker was better because it doesn't show the dirt.  She's got a point.  I don't have a dog, but I do have children.  Wonder which is worse?
