We are going to try to start a new Blog here at Everlasting Stitches. Our hope is to blog at least once a week and let you know what's going on at the store. The quilt above is a cute little quilt that Pam did for the Grand Rapids Quilt Show. Made with the new Jo Morton line it measures approximately 28 x 28. Stop into the shop and get your kit before they are all gone.
Hurray! A blog where we can talk about stuff--esp quilting stuff, notions and our favorite stuff--FABRIC! I guess this is the stuff of blogs, as I've never commented on stuff in a blog before and hope I'm doing it right (I guess I'll find out fast if I'm not, lol!) Pam and Cherie were making up these cool kits from Edyta Sitar's Laundry Basket Quilts fabric, I liked them so much I waited for one colorway to be cut and then I'll get the other colorway next week. Maybe I'll have the first one done by then--but probably not! Some lovely, droolable fabric there tonight, as in every night!
ReplyDeleteJoin me in wishing Pam a belated Happy Birthday (Mon, Oct 22)--better yet, stop in and tell her yourself! Many thanks to Cherie and Pam for the blog, I'll try and keep up with it as long as this computer knows what to do, heeheehee!
Thanks Cathy for your support!
DeleteAfter Piecemakers Quilting Guild on Saturday, I went to Pam's for First Saturday, but really went to pick up the fabric for mom's quilt and backings for the batik table runners. These table runners are great, Pam and Cheri did a great job at picking out the colors (Sunset with yellows to purples, and the Blue & Green batiks for the alternate colorway). I did the Sunset runner at the Quilt Guild meeting and am very pleased with it. Just need to do the applique (gulp! But I WILL learn to do applique better!) I picked up the fabric for mom's quilt, the gorgeous lilies fabric in shades of pink, fuchsia, green, yellow, orange and shades in between. This will really brighten mom's room at the nursing home, and she loves the flowers. I'm hoping to get it done in the next couple of weeks, I think it will be the prettiest one I've done of 'The Craftsman' pattern.
ReplyDeleteHappy sewing, and I need not remind you that Christmas is coming, so lets try and get as much done as we can without going bananas! Blessings to all!
